About the Founder

Maestro Majed Sarai Edin, Syrian Origin.
When he was a kid, he dreamed of becoming a famous musician since his family was all musicians and everything was all about music .
He devoted his entire life for studying music and was specialised in classical Arabic music.
He Graduated from the Institute of Teachers Preparation, Department of Music in Damascus in 1988, And graduated from the Higher Institute of Music with a specialty in Flute and leading Arab bands in 1995.
After graduation he worked as a teacher of the flute at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus between 1996 and 2004.
He was also a member of the Zenobia national band as a nay player.
He led the Arab Music Ensemble at the Higher Institute of Music for three years (1996-1999)
From 1993 until 1998 he was a member of the Syrian Symphony Orchestra as a flute player
After that he was appointed as the Head of the Arab Music Department at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus between 2000 and 2003.
He was also the Instructor of construction material at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art, and for three years (2000-2003) he remained a member of the Shabab Al-Watan Orchestra for Arab Music.
In 2003 he founded Ornina: his own arts center for music, theater and ballet.
In 2005, he founded the Orchestra Tarab, The Tarab Orchestra consists of 70 professional musicians and remained its leader until now and held many concerts in: Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, Egypt, with local and Arab teams and with the major stars of the Arab world.
Because of the all-destructive war in 2015 in Syria , he was forced to leave all these things behind. he has sacrificed his dreams and life as a musician to protect his family.
Yet he still has a dream to continue with what he has built up in Syria and to pass on my knowledge and experience to a younger generation of both immigrants and the people here.
